“Rebellion is as much of a cage as obedience is. They both mean living in reaction to someone else’s way instead of forging your own.”
How to hold two contrary images in the same lens. Two storylines cross- the KS marks the spot. We don’t know when, though you know it will occur. It's like death, the crossing. The pattern appears over, and we don’t see it until it has passed. It’s like a track with no beginning or end. The flowers that push up through the dirt and bulbs break, and we see the flourishing and the withering.
You don’t want the thing, and you cannot have it anyway, so you do want the thing and yet you give it away as soon as you have it.
Isn’t that how life works- the reversal of what you know to be true? The worm writhes on the line and no one wants to pull it off and look at the wound you created by baiting the line. What is the lure and what are you teasing.
There is always a third way for those willing to take a longer look at the equation. And it’s not about solving the problem. There are always issues to look at and fondle. As long as there are things to look at, why does anyone care about looking elsewhere for something else?
The issue with living is the lust for resolution. There is no answer to our troubles. There will always be more troubles. So why look for the answer? It gives me a sense of satisfaction to know that I can satisfy an urge or fix a problem. No matter how trivial. Do we create problems to have power?
The great one once said, do not lash out with your pain. It only spreads the disease. The worm writhes on the line - does it know it will die? Does it understand its cause of death? By hook or tooth. Does it matter? The answer is No. It does not matter.
To create a story with opposite lines is the best way to occupy the mind.
