What am I avoiding?
I disregarded my heart for a month- refusing to write. I could not sit down for contemplation. I danced, swam, stretched, cycled, and hiked. In motion - en movimiento - I move to avoid what I feel.
I want a conversation with Amanda. So badly. Why is that not available to me? What is the lesson? Amanda always takes the most obvious and turns it inside out. The cycle stops and she places it in another way.
Amanda and I are opposite in so many ways. Cut from the same wet cloth, one moved deeper into the water and the other got burnt from too much sunlight. We are like an ice cream sandwich together; in a single bite, it's cold and crunchy, sweet and salty. The flavor profiles are great alone and wonderful when taken together.
I pulled four tarot cards the other night to smooth my ruffled spirits.
Lion. Turtle. Gazelle. Scorpion.
I treated each as a pillar of Indian Philosophy, the core tenants of what creates a well-balanced lifestyle.

Turtle - water.
Wise, knowledgeable, long lifeline. A strong connection to earth to connect to deeper truths of life no matter how far travels take them. Energy that fuels writers and storytellers. Adventure to balance.
Scorpion - fire
Playful, passionate, destructive. Few friends. Focused on career. Time to clear/clean your feelings so all can heal. Wild and free in the best moments. Honesty and forgiveness to balance.
Gazelle - fire
Elegance, harmony, beauty. Hyper-aware of surroundings. Sophisticated and vulnerable. A sign to get back to the present. Nourish spirit. Cozy home, yin yoga, good food to balance.
The universe is an actor. I am the stage.
