When I think about you I see the two halves of the coconut; the soft, pulpy innards and that rough shell. I prefer when your hair is down because I know you are hiding. I like it when you are shy, it makes me feel more easy in your presence. The knowing that you have a gentle element to your character helps me trust, even when I know you cannot fully see me through that curly head of hair.
No one fully sees me; I’ve made peace with the misunderstandings.
