purna
The other day, while meditating, I suddenly felt the urge to read Charlotte’s Web.
I paused my practice and sat still momentarily to review what was happening inside me.
The inclination was strong enough for me to purchase the audiobook.
I love listening to stories while running.
I read Charlotte’s Web as a child and could not remember if it was my favorite story or one of my siblings.
Sometimes, my preferences and dislikes become entangled with those around me, and my childhood memories are blurred with my sisters' sensations.
Who loved grilled cheese sandwiches dipped in cold milk? Who always chose hopscotch over skipping? Who purchased the Harry Potter books, and whose blanket was the rainbow quilt?
My innate capacity to move between worlds - mine and the realities of others - is a gift. It is what brought me to Reiki, Lucid Dreaming, and now, Jin Shin Jyutsu.
Purna, from Sankrit, means being full or complete. It is the capacity to feel nourished from within.
The practices I choose allow me to connect to the essence of Purna so I may hear the little voice within (telling me to review Charlotte’s Web!)
I am excited to share a few online events this fall, including rituals to welcome October’s Supermoon.
