inquiry

Submitting my manuscript has taught me a lot about writing, publishing, placement, design, and myself in the last year.

I am happiest creating, enlivened by researching, sloppy at editing, and uncomfortable with self-promotion.

The inquiry I’ve been sitting with lately is how I want to work with people, how I want people to feel when they are with me, and what I want to illuminate in the world.

What residue do I want to leave behind, and how does my subconscious mind create the frequency within and around me?

This is why I do Kundalini Yoga: to become more aware of the subtle realm and what I am implicitly (and unconsciously) expressing through my thoughts, words, and actions.

I’ve been questioning the idea of separating the medium from the message. Many great artists and entrepreneurs broke the law of Ahimsa (non-harming).

Do we need more inventions and artwork, or do we need more community-focused, compassionate, ethically aware individuals in the world?

I’ll let you answer that one.

Sending you love and light, and a little poem below.

Om Swasti

Where were you when
I hung the stars?

I am quietly collecting the pieces of God.

An orange cat’s face

Espresso

Fragmented music

piano on a terrace

A man’s vibrato

Wrinkled linen

Condensation on teacups

Raisins baked into bread

The swell of a woman’s voice

when she speaks of Her desire.

Where were you when
I hung the stars?

Rejoicing the stillness in dancing!

Knowing your own presence eases communication because it is there anyway, as an almost invisible signal behind all your other communications.
