SERAPHINA DAWN

acı

My wisdom comes
by watching, without
binoculars, little mouth
agape. Whoever says,
you’re doing it wrong
never felt the breeze
of a quiet morning.

The light hides like
the vegetables I cut
so small, discreetly
folding into the eggs.
I sizzle in a pan much
too shallow for what
I Hope to achieve.

Look, a pinecone.
Look, a petticoat.

Tulle and plastic;
she’ll love it anyway.

Twirl like the daffodils, my love!

Everyone is watching,
there’s much to be seeded
through your silent footfalls.
