one day

I went to the lake with a friend this week.

We swam, napped in the shade, snacked on cucumber with baguette and hummus, sipped $2 coffee from paper cups, and got lost trying to find our way home.

It was the perfect day, my one lake day this summer.

This friend is the kind of soul sister with whom I can speak plain and enjoy prolonged silence.

She and I come from artistic backgrounds with a desire to understand the subtle and strange ways of the world.

Each of us has chosen a profession in healing through body/energy work and shared our hard-earned experiences in establishing rituals and relationships that support what we do.

Conflict resolution was one of our main topics, which was curious because I’m working on this theme, though she brought it up.

I’ve been sitting in a meditation that provides tools to align and anchor within so I can better navigate and negotiate the discord I perceive.

Conflict Resolution Meditation
