Mudras for Inner Alignment Lecture
Jin Shin Jyutsu translates as:
“The Art of the Creator through the person of compassion.”
Why we do it:
Harmonize the energy flows in the body.
Work with the endocrine and nervous systems.
Create balance, vitality, and good health.
Origin of Jin Shin Jyutsu
Mary Burmeister brought JSJ from Japan to the West, where she studied with Jiro Murai.
“Through Jin Shin Jyutsu, our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that all that is needed for harmony and balance with the universe—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—is within myself. Through this awareness, the feeling of complete peace, serenity, security, the oneness within is evident. No person, situation, or thing can take these away from me.” - Mary Burmeister.
Jumper cabling the fingers (aka mudras)
Works on the attitudes (aka the emotions) that cause stagnancy, blockages, and disease in the body.
Benefits of the jumper cables (mudras)
Do them anywhere, anytime, for a few minutes.
Attune to the breath and your heart’s rhythm.
Feel the energy that moves through you.
Observe the visions, sensations, and symbols that appear when you hold each digit.
Gain a deeper sense of awareness and appreciation for the interrelatedness of the material and metaphysical forms - how the gross affects the subtle and vice versa.
How the jumper cable (mudras) works on the body:
Nerves that extend from the fingertips to the spinal column connect to specific nerve plexuses and ganglia (veins, arteries, nerves) that innervate organs and various body parts.
The nervous system affects the endocrine system, which releases hormones into the bloodstream (purification process) and affects how we feel, think, and act.
Organ flows that circulate through the body begin and end in the fingertips and toes—therefore, holding the fingers and toes affects the organ flows.
The Five Depths / Attitudes
Worry, Sadness, Anger, Trying to (Angst), and Fear belong inside fear.
Fear = False Evidence Appearing Real
Depths = dimensions of being = 9 depths total
Similar to the chakras, the depths are layers that guide us from the immaterial to the material realm.
“Each dimension also provides a direct foundation for the next. Thus, they reveal the implicit order in life and give us insight into the intention behind each dimension of our being.”
